Writing is an intrinsic part of who I am. It's the way I process life, my faith, and my relationships. It's how I learn to understand others and myself. I am often surprised by the discovery of what I’m truly thinking and feeling when it shows up on the page.
The heart and soul of my writing always comes back to circle around the places where life breaks us and the ways we heal those wounds. This theme comes up again and again in my blog and in other publications, a selection of which are listed below.
Kintsugi inspired publications:
"The Beauty in Our Scars" in the August/September 2015 issue of soulsisterwisdom magazine (no. 2), p. 46-49.
“The welcome (and unwelcome) transformation of healing” in Luhambo / Journey (published February 9, 2014).
"Creating a Kintsugi-Style Life and Faith" in Luhambo / Journey (published September 11, 2013).
"Detachment: Living with open hands" in Luhambo / Journey (published April 12, 2014).
"The Illusion of Safety" on The Risk of Pursuing Your Passion blog (published October 10, 2013).
"The Light of Gratitude" in Write for Light, Volume 1 (pp. 63-5), available in paperback from Write for Light (2013). All proceeds from the sale of this book go to support Light for Children, a charity that helps vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Ghana.
