PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION of this one-of-a-kind piece to understand its unique characteristics, how it's made, and what is included before buying.

WHAT IS KINTSUGI? Kintsugi (also known as kintsukuroi) is a Japanese art form that repairs broken pottery with a gold-infused lacquer to create golden seams in the repaired form that make it more beautiful and valuable than the original. This faux kintsugi heart symbolizes the way that the healing of the broken places in our lives leaves greater beauty in its wake.

HOW IT'S MADE: The pendant is made from white bisque porcelain in a curved heart shape that has been painted. The "break" lines have been carved into the surface of the front of the pendant and subsequently filled with gold paint. It is a solid color on the reverse side.

DETAILS OF THIS ITEM: Each kintsugi inspired piece is a one of a kind creation due to the hand painted nature of the pendant. The pendant pictured is the actual one you will receive. Note that each bisque porcelain heart has a unique set of imperfections, so please view all images closely to see the details of this specific piece.
SIZE/SHAPE: curved heart (32 mm by 22 mm)
NECKLACE TYPE: Black cotton cord with a gold-plated lobster clasp closure
CORD LENGTH: approximately 18"
